Our hearts are heavy with sorrow as the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Helene continues to unfold. The catastrophic flooding has left thousands unhoused with severe damage to vital infrastructure like mountain roads, highways, and bridges.
As a church, even as we were not left untouched by the sheer widespread power of this storm, we are called to respond. We will direct our immediate relief efforts to BeLoved Asheville, a trusted nonprofit that, even before the hurricane, was “constantly in the ‘eye of the storm,’ providing for those in need and helping us to remember the humanity in all.” BeLoved Asheville has been distributing resources like food and water to affected areas throughout Appalachia.

NOTE: All funds for hurricane relief given through Trinity Avenue will go to BeLoved Asheville. We are offering our hurricane relief fund as an option because BeLoved Asheville is currently unable to accept standard credit card donations (instead they have formats like Venmo, Zelle, etc.). We wanted to offer the full spectrum of ways to donate. If you give directly to BeLoved Asheville via the means they offer, they will be able to access the funds more quickly.
